My Name is Nahir and I’m the founder of Meüne.
I grew up in a small village in Argentina, called Carhué (it means “green place” in Mapuche). After studying for 5 years in Buenos Aires, I got my “23-year-old dream job” in an international investment bank, as a Business Associate. I quickly realised that such a level of injustice, discrimination, and competition I was facing daily was simply unbearable to me. Yet, I needed 2 years to be brave enough to quit the job and leave that world behind.
That was the tipping point. I’ve been very lucky, I started travelling & connecting with people from different backgrounds and cultures.
In 2015, I fell in love and I moved to Paris: “la capitale de la mode”. It wasn’t easy and I still miss my family and friends, who always supported my every mad idea. But this is where Meüne really started. It was when I saw the massive production, waste, and effects the current fashion industry has on all of us. I kept thinking that there must be a way to love fashion, without sacrificing the people and our planet. Things clearly needed to change.
